At Moving to Italy by Raf, our mission is to empower you with the strategic framework (the "90%") you need to plan your relocation. We stand behind the quality of our educational resources and coaching. However, because we deal with international bureaucracy and legal frameworks, our refund policy includes specific ethical and legal boundaries to protect both you and our business.
1. The 30-Day Satisfaction Guarantee
We want you to feel confident in your purchase.
Digital Products & Courses: If you are not satisfied with the educational value or quality of the content, you may request a full refund within 30 days of purchase.
Coaching: If you feel a session did not provide the strategic clarity promised, you may request a refund within 30 days of the session date.
However, this guarantee is subject to the strict limitations regarding "outcomes" listed below.
2. Important Limitations: What We Do NOT Refund
It is vital to understand the nature of what you are buying. We sell education, not legal outcomes. By purchasing our products, you acknowledge the "90/10 Responsibility Rule": we provide the 90% educational framework, but the final 10% (legal verification) is your responsibility.
We will NOT process refunds for the following reasons:
Visa Denial or Delays: We are not attorneys and cannot guarantee visa approval. A rejection by an Italian Consulate or Questura is a risk inherent to immigration and is not grounds for a refund of our educational materials.
Changes in Government Policy: Italian requirements change frequently (e.g., variations by Consulate or the Inter-ministerial Decree of Feb 29, 2024). We do not offer refunds if a law changes after your purchase that makes the strategy less applicable to you.
Failure to Hire Professionals: As stated in our guides, you must hire licensed professionals (Italian Attorneys/Commercialisti) for the final "10%" of your journey. We do not refund customers who attempt to DIY the legal process and fail.
Ignorance of the Law: In accordance with the Italian principle "La legge non ammette ignoranza" (The law does not admit ignorance), we are not liable if you fail to comply with Italian regulations.
3. Specific Product Policies
A. Digital Downloads (E-books, Guides)
Refund Window: 30 Days from purchase.
Requirement: Please provide a brief explanation of how the guide failed to meet your educational expectations. This helps us improve.
B. Coaching & Consulting
Unused Sessions: Refundable within 30 days of purchase.
Completed Sessions: Refundable if you are unsatisfied with the quality of the advice.
Cancellation: We require 24 hours' notice for rescheduling. No-shows may forfeit the session.
Scope of Coaching: Strategic planning and mentorship. It is not legal advice. Questions requiring legal interpretation will be referred to a licensed Italian attorney.
4. Anti-Fraud & Abuse
We are an ethical business, and we expect ethical behavior from our clients.
"Serial Refunding": We reserve the right to deny refunds to individuals who demonstrate a pattern of purchasing, downloading/consuming all content, and immediately requesting a refund without a valid cause.
Immigration Fraud Warning: We have a zero-tolerance policy for fraud. If we discover a client is using our materials to attempt to deceive Italian authorities (e.g., falsifying documents), we will immediately terminate all services without refund.

The founder of Moving to Italy by Raf is an entrepreneur and financial planner (SDSU Finance graduate), NOT an attorney. We share lessons learned, mistakes observed, and strategic frameworks. We do not provide legal representation.
The 90/10 Responsibility Rule
Our products provide 90% of the strategic framework. The critical 10%—verification of requirements and filing—must come from licensed professionals (Avvocati/Commercialisti) who know your specific situation. That 10% is not optional.
Currency of Information
While we update our guides annually (current as of November 2025), requirements vary dramatically by Consulate and Questura. It is your responsibility to verify all information with your specific Consulate before taking action.
6. How to Request a Refund
To initiate a return, please email us below with:
Subject: "Refund Request - [Order Number]"
The product name.
The reason for the request (relating to the quality/content).
Refunds are processed back to the original payment method within 5-10 business days.
